About This Website
Purpose
- To share the impact and significance of nursing care plans with more people
- To make nursing care planning accessible from anywhere
- To use this site as my personal memo for future reference
Content
- Primarily based on what I learned in nursing school and clinical practice
Website Name
- The name “Florence’s Light” comes from Florence Nightingale, and “Light” symbolizes the lamp given during the capping ceremony in nursing school (Nightingale was also known as “The Lady with the Lamp”).
- The name reflects my commitment to never forget my initial motivation and to strive for excellence in nursing.
- The book Florence Nightingale’s Life by Yuriko Miyamoto provides insight into how Nightingale shaped the nursing profession. It is available for free on Aozora Bunko, so feel free to check it out if you’re interested. Read on Aozora Bunko
